Lakeridge Elementary School fifth-graders recently visited Camp IslandWood on Bainbridge Island. They engaged in science learning and observations, experienced art and music connections, played many games and participated in “Soil to Snack” where they collaboratively cooked food with items from the IslandWood garden. They hiked the many trials down to Blakely Harbor and experienced the tidal zones and came together in “One Pride the Lion Way to build belonging between all 5th grade classrooms at Lakeridge,” reads a school district post.
