SnakePit Post-season GDT, #17

Two ways tonight can go. We either see a Rays victory, and they move on to the World Series, starting on Friday in Milwaukee. Gigantic prehistoric snake discovered in India may have been one of the largest ever

A massive prehistoric snake discovered in India may have rivaled the largest snake ever known. Called Vasuki indicus, the 47-million-year-old giant could have reached up to 50 feet long, making it comparable to the legendary Titanoboa. Scientists believe its enormous body made it a slow-moving ambush predator, similar to a modern anaconda.

SnakePit Post-season GDT, #12

A double-bill of championship series, so enjoy it. Might only be one more this year, on Thursday. SnakePit Post-season GDT, #7

A fairly low-key day yesterday in the American League Division Series, with both the White Sox and the Rays following up their Game 1 victories, with another win in Game 2. Scientists just named a new snake after Guns N’ Roses legend Slash

A newly discovered snake from New Guinea has been named after Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, who has loved reptiles since childhood.
